Your trip includes everything needed for a highly productive day on the coastal flats. We provide premium rods, reels, light tackle, and fresh live bait that Captain Kenneth catches himself. We also supply an onboard ice chest filled with ice and bottled water for your convenience.

Do I need to bring my own fishing gear?

No, you do not need to bring any of your own gear. Our fully restored 22-foot Kenner bay boat is equipped with top-quality, well-maintained tackle suited perfectly for Texas inshore fishing. You are always welcome to bring a favorite rod if you prefer, but it is completely optional.

Is cleaning and filleting included in the fishing trip?

Yes, complimentary catch cleaning and filleting are always included. When we return to the dock after our day on the water, Captain Kenneth will gladly clean, fillet, and bag your redfish and speckled trout at no extra charge, so it is fully prepped for the grill.

What should I bring on my fishing trip with Murky Water Charter?

Every angler must purchase a valid Texas fishing license with a saltwater endorsement prior to the trip. We also highly recommend bringing your preferred snacks, drinks, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, and a personal cooler left in your vehicle to transport your fresh fillets home.

We enjoy incredible inshore fishing year-round on the Texas Coastal Bend. Spring and summer offer highly consistent daily limits for speckled trout and redfish, while the cooler fall and winter months are the absolute best time for targeting oversized, heavy bull redfish in the deeper channels.
